It may not look like one, but this website will eventually be a book. More specifically, it will be a 21st Century book.
What's the difference between a book and a 21st Century book? Great question! I've been trying to figure it out since the turn of century.
As of the start of 2010, I believe a 21st Century book is one that:
- has a written, hard copy component. This like all books that have come before. It is written on paper.
- has a written, soft copy component. I'll call this an eBook. It's the same as a book, but rather than being written on paper, it comes in digital format
- has a written, interactive component. I'll call this a blog. What you are reading now. Something you can comment on and argue with when and if you choose. It's a book you are an active part of.
- has a visual component, interactive component. I'll call this a video summary. Something you can watch that also allows you the opportunity to engage with. It's a video that you can contribute to.
Here's the plan:
- I write each chapter of the book-to-be as a blog post and summarize it as a video. I share each chapter with you. All for free.
- When I have enough chapters, I publish the book in print and eBook format. I trust you will appreciate the convenience of owning a complete copy of the book and that you will be pay a nominal fee for that convenience.
Here's how you can benefit:
- Use the information to grow your business.
Next steps:
- read each chapter and watch each video.
- comment on what you read and what you see. If you disagree with the chapter, say so! Please share with other
readers why
you feel as you do. If you have something to add on the specific
topic in the chapter, please share so the next reader might benefit. If you found the information helpful, please
comment on the chapter and share with others how the information helped
you.
- share the chapters with your friends. They will appreciate it and will think kindly of you for your effort
- sign up for the book. My kids need dental work!
